What’s a Campership?

I’m glad you asked! A Campership is a donation to enables a child to have life changing experience of attending summer camp. Studies have shown that kids who attend summer camp learn independence, develop self confidence and packedleadership skills, engage with nature, learn about their faith, make new friends and have the time of their lives! (Okay so I added the last one- but it’s still true!)

The CTRNC believes that no one should be prevented from attending summer camp because of financial concerns. To that end, we have created a Campership fund. A portion of every Hippo Hill membership joins funds raised at church visits, CTRNC Events, and other specified donations to spread the joy of camping to children who need it the most.

If you would like to apply for a Campership, it is easy! Simply email Ashley at info@camptalahi.org with the name of the camper, the camp session and the amount (if any) that the camper and his or her family is able to contribute. Many churches also have funds set aside for summer camp- so ask around!

If you would like to donate to the Campership fund, send your donation to CTRNC c/o St. Paul UCC, 26550 Cherry Hill Road, Dearborn Heights, MI 48127 and write “Campership” in the memo.
