Family Camp Weekend

Camp Talahi waterfront on Lake Chenago

Waterfront time on Lake Chenago

Camp Talahi is a great time for the whole family! Enjoy camp’s beautiful scenery during a laid-back weekend for families of all shapes and sizes. The schedule for family camp is flexible, and our Counselors in Training will be on hand to offer games, crafts, nature hikes, and activities for kids of all ages. There will also be lifeguards on duty and plenty of time to swim and build sand castles, which is always a family camp favorite activity!

2018 Dates

Start Date: Friday, July 13
Start Time: 6:00 pm
End Date: Sunday, July 15
End Time: 11:00 am

Dorms: Most families choose to stay in our dorms. The two dorms, Lakeview and Ridgeview, each sleep 40 people each in two large, long rooms with bunk beds. Families who stay in the dorms will share those large rooms with other families with children of about the same age. Each dorm has men’s and women’s bathrooms and showers, as well as a common area between the two sleeping rooms. (See a floor plan of the dorms.)

Tent Camping: Families also have the option to camp in tents. There is a flat area near one of our dorms that is good for camping and that allows families to easily access the bathrooms inside the dorm.

RVing: We do have a limited number of electrical outlets for RVs in our activity field. Please let us know if your family plans to bring an RV. RVs will need to have their own bathrooms as there are no bathrooms near the RV spots.

All meals are provided at camp! We serve meals three times a day and also have a snack in the evening. Breakfast includes a hot main course, fruit, apple or orange juice, and coffee is available for adults. Lunch and dinner include a main course, side dish, vegetable, salad and dessert. Meals are served cafeteria-style.

Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are always available if someone doesn’t like the food being served (if there is a peanut allergy in the group, another option will be made available.) Milk is always available upon request.
