Camp Talahi

What Makes Camp Talahi Such a Special Place?

All Camp Talahi programs are focused on building relationships.  Through small groups, trained staff, quality facilities and experiential learning activities we are able to provide campers of all ages with opportunities to serve in leadership roles, be a part of a caring Christian Community, and grow in self confidence and self reliance skills.  Camp is for the camper and the Talahi staff go the extra mile to be sure a camper is cared for and included in activites and programs.

What Talahi Campers are saying about camp

I can fully be myself at camp and hold nothing back.      K. P.

I come to camp to have fun, learn about Jesus, and make new friends.  A.C.

I feel good knowing that I will spiritually recharge every time I am at Camp Talahi.   Z.S.

When I went to camp for the first time, while playing games as a team, is the only time I can remember having a sense of satisfaction and belonging.   J.J.

It is all the wonderful memories at camp together that really make it as special as it is.  I love showing campers new activities and teaching our songs.  Camp is a place to make new friends, reunite with old ones, and together become closer to God.   T.H.

What Counselors are saying about camp

I revel in God's creation and enjoy celebrating this creation with others.  When this happens I get a tremendous charge of energy from those I share with.  In these experiences, I know God is present.   G.L.

I think that I have had the opportunity to touch the lives of each and every child I have been with, and I hope to be able to continue to do this.   A.M.

Growing up and attending Talahi each summer has impacted by life and has created experiences I will never forget.  Talahi is such a great place for having fun, making friends, learning about God, and even learning more about one's self.  I love to be someone that helps to make each campers experience a great one.  K.B.

There is so much to be gained from time spent with a child, and it is very enlightening to be able to impact their lives for the better.  I  think it is inevitable that anyone who works with children will grow in spirit.  Children are graced with the light spirits and contagious sense of humor that no one should be without.  I lover the opportunity to encourage children to be themselves and be able to express themselves in front of a group.

One of the greatest feelings in the world is making a child smile.  whether it's witnessing them accomplish something they've been working at, or making them laugh even though they are terribly homesick.    L.M.
